Volunteers Needed
We are actively seeking volunteers to assist in this worthwhile project. Can you imagine what an amazing feeling it will be seeing our kids playing on a new, safe and exciting playground and knowing that YOU helped actually build it! This is a great opportunity to get involved with a grassroots community project, meet your neighbors and have fun while accomplishing something that will benefit the families of Collingswood.
Going forward we need to people to:
Help spread the word
Sign up for our mailing list and forward info to your friends and family. Know a reporter? Let them know what we're doing!
Help raise money
We need it! Many fundraising activites are being planned. We help coordinating and running these events - everything from a pretzel sale to the creation of a donation wall. Knight Park is a federally recognized 501(c)(3) tax exempt public charity. All donations are tax deductible. E-mail us for more info.
Help gather donations of materials, services and supplies
Know an electrician, landscaper, mason, fence installer, photographer, concrete guy? We are going to need the help of these skilled people and more! We'll need plants, dirt, copy services and who knows what else. During the build days we'll need food, water, port-a-potties, music, tools, sun screen, and probably a few bandaids.
Help build the playground
We'll need lots of volunteers to help raise money and then to actually build the playground. Our goal is to have the playground completed by June 2008. Can you imagine what a great feeling it will be seeing our kids playing on a new, safe and exciting playground and knowing that YOU helped actually build it!
