The Knight Park Playground Committee and the Borough of Collingswood are advancing funds to get under construction and we break ground in October 24, 25, and 26!
That means we need volunteers to come out and get our new playground up. Working together, it will take us just three days to get phase one installed and ready for our community to use. Working with tools not your foray? It’s okay – we need everyone’s help! Those handy with a hammer are useful but volunteers are needed to clean, rake, organize, and more. There is a job for everyone. This is a community effort – we need your help.
Please sign up to volunteer for the park build on October 24, 25 and 26 from 7AM to 7PM. Volunteers can work in morning and afternoon shifts (7AM-1PM, 1PM-7PM), but any time you are willing to give is wonderful, you are not obligated to work an entire shift. The playground build is a construction site so volunteers must be high school aged or older.

Want to Help?
Contact organizers at Info@KnightParkPlayground.com or call 856-869-5207 and let them know: At what level you can volunteer (Lord Mayor, Court, Knight)
What days you can volunteer (Fri 10/24, Sat 10/25, Sun 10/26)
What shift you can work on those days (Morning or evening)
We are also more than happy to take donations of water and snacks. If you can provide food for volunteers please let organizers know that as well.
How can you pitch in? Volunteers are needed in these categories – what suits you best?: The Lord Mayor (a.k.a. – What’s a wrench?) Cleaning, organizing, raking, mulching- The Court Assembly, light building, dexterous tasks The Knights Building, heavy lifting
Playground assembly schedule: Friday, Oct 24 - Sunday, Oct 26. We're building from 7 am to 7 om so you can sign up for the AM or Pm shift or whatever times you can help.
What can I bring? General Recreation, the playground equipment company, will provide several tools, but may not be able to provide what is needed for each volunteer. If you can, please bring tools to the build. They are often shared between workers, so mark your tools with tape and your name on them. If you have any of the below, please bring them.
Equipment needed: Digging bars, 3/8” drive ratchets (General Recreation will provide attachments), 9/16” wrenches, cordless drills (charge them!), set of drill bits (various sizes), utility knives, levels (torpedo, 2’ and 4’), hex-allen key set, ladders (for constructing overhead pieces), hammers, rubber mallets, gloves, post hole diggers, digging bars, tape measures.
